IN DUBIO PRO REO - in case of doubt in favour of the accused. This old legal principle is flagrantly violated in this trial! All indications are that Miroslav Sedlář was not murdered because of the jewel robbery, but because of the weapons and his illegal work for the Slovak police and armourers - he broke the rules and paid with death... And now reopen the trial, against such a financial, power and corruption force?
In history, situations often arise that decide a new direction thanks to an individual. Let's hope that the Senate of the Regional Court Zlín 15.7.2024 will decide on the right one, in the interest of today and the future. Fighting for the truth is more important than achieving it. JŠ

Correspondence voting is common in developed countries (I vote myself, as a Swiss citizen, several times a year, I do not have to register, I receive the documents automatically by post and send them by post). In the Czech Republic, politicians are afraid of not being able to manipulate voters abroad. That's also why they won't adopt proven laws from abroad on the postal vote and make it yet another pasquil. Compatriots abroad are not as easily manipulated by the media as most voters in the Czech Republic. We are rightly one of the least media-savvy countries in the EU. It is enough to appeal to instincts, emotions, to arouse hatred, common sense is neglected - and the voter often votes against himself.
By the way, foreign Swiss see Switzerland as their fifth canton, which they value and the country benefits from. For Czech politicians, it is as if foreign Czechs are enemies. Some prefer to serve the country, others prefer to serve themselves, threatened by nothing and no one...
To quote from the article: It will be a postal vote. A small step into the 21st century - To hold elections in a modern and democratic way, including those who are far from the polls, is an infinitely higher concern. JŠ

A police officer was investigating someone, sort of "privately", in violation of the Criminal Procedure Code, in violation of the Police Act, in violation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms.

The signing of a partnership agreement between the Russian Federation and North Korea and the deepening of military cooperation between these authoritarian countries should be the final push for the US Congress to recognize Putin's Russia as a state sponsor of global terrorism. Two US Senators, both Democrat and Republican, have stated this.
"The signed agreement between Putin and Kim Jong-un is deeply frightening and hostile not only to the United States, but to peace, freedom, and justice around the world. Two of the world's most autocratic leaders who commit atrocities stand together and sponsor terrorism... Russia deserves to be in this small, selective club of murderers who commit atrocities," Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal said, according to Voice of America.
They explicitly mentioned, for example, the poisoning of Ukrainian presidential candidate Viktor Yushchenko in 2004, the poisoning of former Russian FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko in 2006, and the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight 350 in the Donetsk region in 2014, support for the aerial bombing of Aleppo, Syria in 2016, the poisoning of former Russian military officer and British double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the UK in 2018, and the suspicious death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

The Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the Chamber of Executors of the Czech Republic and the Lighthouse Association have set a common goal - to improve the financial literacy of people in prison and their orientation in dealing with difficult life situations related to the inability to repay debts. The issues related to foreclosures are now being explained directly to prisons by bailiffs together with representatives of the Lighthouse association.
