A unique talk show with John Nash, the grandson of J. A. Baťa and custodian of his archive, about the past but also the future
Did you know that:
- By 1936, Baťa was recognised as the number one brand in the world for shoes and seventh for all other products it produced
- Tomáš Baťa was going to run for president to succeed T. G. Masaryk (were it not for his tragic death)
- Jan Baťa's organisation was preparing for the active defence of Czechoslovakia before the 1938 Munich betrayal
- Jan Baťa's administration helped more than 1,000 Jewish employees emigrate from Czechoslovakia before the Holocaust, resettling them all over the world
- Jan Baťa moved a mountain to create the town of Batov (now Otrokovice), which today has a population of more than 19,000
- Jan Baťa financed and completed the Baťa canal connecting the Czech Republic with Slovakia more than 50 km in length with 13 or more locks
- Baťa built agricultural cities in the jungle

So, I am not at fault whatsoever that there is a threat to my person... We do not believe that assailants and murderers should decide where the limits of free speech should be...." — Rasmus Paludan, chairman of the Danish anti-Islam party, Stram Kurs.
The question appeared to receive its final answer ten years later, when the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo published cartoons of Mohammad and paid with the lives of many of its staff. The magazine's editors later said that there would be no more Mohammed cartoons.

From the cautious statement of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic - "she has done a lot of work", one can suspect that her proposal by the government is far from certain. So far, everything suggests she will be Dita Charanz. The Czech Republic candidate for the Euro Commissioner is to be proposed by the end of August.
Readers of this website will not forget how I spent many years dealing with the case of ing. arch. Marek Říčař. He was in a protective police program with his entire family for 5 years, including a change of names. Věra Jourová played a strange role in the case. Neither did the liberating judgment of a future Commissioner remove these strangeness. The course of the last court hearing was, with probability, bordering on certainty rigged. Also, the rate of compensation and its amount (2.7 million crowns) for a 33-day unlawful detention did not create the confidence. Jourová was accused in the Budišov case and acquitted for lack of evidence, not because the deed did not happen! Investigating police officers, whom she confessed (as they were in court under oath), were dismissed, the evidence was destroyed.
