The FORUM 2000 conference will be held 15-17.10.2023 in Prague only for invited, registered, selected and approved...
At what address FORUM 2000 is being held this year is not known from the website, as well as the time schedule with speakers. Apparently everything must be under control, including "unreliable" visitors. That is also why more and more things are getting out of control in the "controlled society". To my email below to the FORUM 2000 Secretariat, delivery was acknowledged (no reply to date). My telephone enquiry was not answered with a link to the website (the phone was uncompromisingly terminated). The unspoken message to citizens is "Watch the ´box´ shut up and don't disturb!". Where are the days when I could enter the discussion, ask questions of the panelists and meet them during breaks, including FORUM 2000 founder President Václav Havel. The days of "citizens without citizens" are back again. In the Czech version you will learn less or nothing, unlike the English version...
FORUM 2000 has become more of a "forum and a farce", with all due respect to the speakers. You can watch them on YouTube. One cannot expect a live broadcast of the public CT, at most a "report" and a few shots of who all arrived, not what anyone said of substance. The singer and bard Karel Kryl would even today say democracy in practice. Democracy is a service to citizens, not to politicians who just talk about it. JŠ

Update 23.10.2023: Moscow summons Czech diplomat - The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned Jan Ondrejka, a representative of the Czech Embassy in Moscow, this week to protest Prague's stance on the recent attack on the Ukrainian village of Hroza. The Russian diplomatic service said on its website on Saturday afternoon. His superior, Jiri Cistetsky "porn actor", is no longer invited by Moscow. Jan Lipavsky will give a lecture in Vienna on November 7, 2023 on the topic of geopolitical changes from the perspective of Czech security strategy. Let us hope that the Czech security strategy does not include a "porn actor". JŠ

Prime Minister Petr Fiala has stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic are competent in matters related to the protection of the external border of the EU/Schengen and the related visa policy. I contacted the current Minister of the Interior, Vit Rakusan (STAN), during the 2021 election campaign. He impressed me with his courage to raise the issue of visa fraud at the Czech embassy in Tehran during a TV debate between the leaders of the parties.
