Calling on the Oscar winner to end her performance was a demonstration of Czech plebeianism - see the incredible babbling of the author of the call. Equally shameful and embarrassing was the calling of Jiřina Bohdalová a "national monument" by Mark Eben. He was far from the refinement expected in such a solemn act - he did not even apologise...
Kristýna Roháčková, a film publicist for the Czech Radio, praised the scandalous film ÚSVIT, which should have been sent to the Oscars instead of BRATŘI because it supposedly lacked a deep, topical idea? What could be more topical today than the fight for freedom against a criminal system through the example of brave young men? Are women going to join the army in equal numbers, in the name of equality, and men pushing prams? By the way, the term "pigeon nation" describes our nature well, but in a different way than most suspect. It arose from the ancient penchant of the Czechs for eating pigeons, when they were literally killed "en masse". We dared to eat pigeons, just like the defenceless Czech Germans after 1945... By the way, the lion never lived on the territory of our country. We can still only dream about its qualities of "fighting like a lion"...
That's why we have an army that has never defended its territory, surrendered weapons to the enemy or directly collaborated with them in the last 100 years. Therefore, let us not be surprised at the present conditions in the country - they are only the logical consequence of the crooked character of the past, when the country was ruled by crooked characters, as it is today.
