Czech and Ukrainian activists demonstrated outside an arena in Prague during a performance by the Alexandrov Ensemble, the official choir of the Russian armed forces. Protesters held signs calling the chorus "the music of war and occupation." Inside the concert hall, a small group of protesters holding Ukrainian, NATO, and EU flags tried to disrupt the show during a guest appearance by Czech pop star Helena Vondrackova, but were quickly escorted out. Justice 2.0 – video clip
The Platform of European Memory and Conscience is cordially inviting to a discussion seminar “JUSTICE 2.0″under the auspices of Czech Deputy Prime Minister for science, research and innovation Pavel Bělobrádek which will take place on Tuesday 13 October 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at the Faculty of Law, Charles University,nám. Curieových 7, Prague 1, room No. 120. At the seminar, we will present the results of the project “International Justice for the Communist Crimes” during which we identified surviving persons responsible for crimes against humanity committed under Communism in Europe. They include the surviving members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia and others.

The federal Bureau of Prisons has banned pork products from being served in the 122 prisons it runs nationwide, The Washington Post reports.
The ban started with the new fiscal year, which began October 1, and is attributed by the bureau to prisoners not liking pork. Surveys over recent years have found prisoners like pork least of all meats, and it is too costly, prison bureau spokesman Edmond Ross told the Post.
