Je to bývalý poradce ministra zahraničních věcí, specialista na čínskou politiku a vztahy mezi Čínou a Thajwanem. Je to rovněž člověk, který se již 10 let věnuje praxi v duchovní škole Falun Gong.
Jeho přednáška a návštěva je zaměřena na současnou situaci v pevninské Číně a směřování vývoje její demokratizace - odpoví zda se proces ubírá cestou politickou, nebo cestou násilné revoluce obyvatelstva proti vládě. Činěniteli, které zmiňuje je klesající úrovenň zdravotnictví, korupce, které vyvolávají na mnoha místech Číny povstání, zmiňuje na 4000 případů útěku čínských úředníků se zpronevěřenými penězi do zahraničí, fenomén masového vystupování z komunistické strany a dopady politiky na životní prostředí.
