The Dozimetr case exposed widespread corruption in the Prague Transport Company (DPP). After the June 2022 arrests, politicians promised in-depth audits. Querulant.org obtained two completed audits only after repeated requests:
Three more audits are still pending, including a "big audit" of DPP. The municipality initially refused to make the audits public, arguing possible abuse. The total cost of the audits is CZK 15 million. The querulant criticises the slow progress and suspects politicians of covering up other cases.
Prague has finally filed a criminal complaint
Although the arrests in the Dozimetr case took place in the summer of 2022 and although Prague had two of the commissioned audits in the transport company since at least March 2024, it only decided to file a criminal complaint on the basis of them before the end of June 2024. The subject of the criminal complaint was the finding that some contracts were overpriced, that the DPP was spending funds unfavourably and that there was corruption. It was supposed to be a case of overpriced purchase of screens for the DPP and a controversial sale of land near the Palmovka metro station. Vít Hofman, a spokesman for the Prague City Hall, told ČTK on 21 June 2024. The querulant is convinced that if he had not repeatedly been interested in the audits, Prague politicians would have swept everything under the carpet.
