June 15, 2016, DHARAMSHALA: President Barack Obama will meet His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the White House today. The White House said the two will meet privately at 10.15 am ET.
His Holiness have met the President several times before, inspite of warnings by the Chinese government. Their last meeting was at the annual National Prayer Breakfast at Washington DC in February 2015. At the meeting, the President lauded His Holiness the Dalai Lama as “a powerful example of what it means to practice compassion,” and someone “who inspires us to speak up for the freedom and dignity of all human beings.”

How Concepts Became Reality

Most Czech's don't know the background of the Bata canal or the origins of city of Otrokovice (formerly Batov). How did these grand projects became part of today's reality. It is unclear to me why such basic history is not well known. I will attempt to bring this history to light.

DHARAMSHALA, MAY 30: Chinese authorities in Kardze County have forced Tibetans to participate in a drill to tackle protests by Tibetans and self-immolations on May 26.
Images circulating on the Internet show Chinese military and police personnel trying to extinguish the flames on a burning dummy. Another image showed several Tibetans with banners charging towards security forces.
A Tibetan source said Tibetan government employees were forced to participate in the exercise that is aimed at cracking down on Tibetan protests against the Chinese government.

Greetings.
I am a Catholic priest. Sorry to say, but till May 23rd 2016, I was not aware about tour
husband’s case at all. My personal credo is: if you know nothing about any case, don’t talk about it just to pretend you do know something. So, I do distant myself out from my known colleagues who, despite the fact that they knew next to nothing about the case of your husband, negatively commented on it, and if possible, I do apologize on their behalf. All of us, in the future, will stand before the Almighty who is the One and Only Fair and Just to face our own actions. Myself, of course, will, too.
