In Slovenia it is said that communism worked on the principle of first slandering the inconvenient people and then liquidating them. Unfortunately, this continues today. For example, the Slovenian left constantly slanders our former Prime Minister Janez Janša, who was even imprisoned for several months. This was unjust. I am surprised that the same practices are normal in the Czech Republic today. It seems that the days of Václav Havel are irrevocably gone. What the Czech Foreign Ministry allows itself to do is beyond tolerable limits.

Prime Minister Fiala promised the voters decency, which, along with the fight against corruption, is what his entire government is committed to.  In his speech on the anniversary of 17 November last year, he literally said that he was glad that the time had finally come "when people do not have to worry about being condemned for something they did not do". Unfortunately, this is not yet the reality in the Czech Republic. Over the last four years, I have heard many cases where people have not been able to obtain justice and the truth even through the courts. They have lost their jobs, their good name and their life's momentum under the weight of corruption, bullying, revenge and the dysfunction of some aspects of the current system.

Unfortunately, the methods of the STB, or in our case UDBY, are still used today and happy are those who live their lives peacefully and quietly without encountering any of this. I felt like in the old days or in a movie in 2019 in Morocco. On my last visit, I witnessed the manipulation and brutal liquidation of a decent man who always helped others, who did his job with his heart, a man who cared about the good of Europe. One of those who nailed the nail in the coffin of his job was MFA psychologist Eva Pavlovská.
