Patton Memorial in Pilsen:

… After the end of the Second World War, General George S. Patton, the Commander of the 3rd Army who never bother to watch what he was saying, expressed openly his opinion about the Soviet Union. His comment, that USA should take on the USSR immediately instead of sometimes in the future when the circumstance will force such an action, caused overall consternation bordering on panic. He was removed from his command and assigned to the office of Governor of Bavaria and to the charge of 15th Army. On December 9th 1945, the sixty-year-old General was involved in a car accident caused by his new, inexperienced driver. Patton, sitting on the back seat, was thrown against the top of the car, broke two vertebrates and severed his spinal cord. On December 21st 1945, at 5.50 PM, General George Smith Patton died in the hospital in Heidelberg of complications following the car accident. He was buried on the Američan military cemetery Hamm, Luxemburg.

The original Words of Gen. G.Patton in Pilsen 1945:

"...  We will fight the Ruskies in the future anyway, so why not finish it now. We have an army here in Europe, we can kick that son-of-a-bitch Stalin in no time..."
